Official Flood Maps Updated
Certain communities have updated flood risk data on their Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs). The updates change Base Flood Elevations (BFEs), base flood depths, Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) boundaries, zone designations, or the regulatory floodway, and these map changes can change your flood insurance rules if you live or own property in those communities.
Use Updated Community Number For Policies
FEMA has revised maps through Letters of Map Revision (LOMR) and says the current effective community number shown in the notice's table must be used for all new flood insurance policies and renewals. If you are buying or renewing a policy for property in those communities, insurers will use the updated community number when issuing or renewing coverage.
