Research Permit Lets Federally Permitted Boats Break Rules
If you operate a federally permitted fishing vessel, an Exempted Fishing Permit (EFP) application would let you fish outside normal fishery regulations to carry out exempted fishing activities proposed by the Commercial Fisheries Research Foundation. Members of the public and fishermen may comment on the application before the National Marine Fisheries Service makes a final decision.
