Updated Flood Maps Change Risk
If you live in or own a business in a community listed in this notice, FEMA revised flood hazard information on your Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM). The revisions include changes to Base Flood Elevations (BFEs), base flood depths, Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) boundaries or zone designations, or the regulatory floodway, and those changes can place your property in a different flood zone and may change your flood insurance requirements and costs.
Use Updated Community Number For Policies
The notice shows a current effective community number for each listed community and that number must be used for all new flood insurance policies and renewals. If you buy or renew a flood policy for a property in a listed community, insurers and applicants must use the updated community number shown in the notice's table.
