Published Date: 5/27/2025
Notice
Summary
Cboe EDGX Exchange is raising the monthly fee for its 10 Gb physical ports starting now. This change affects traders and firms using these high-speed connections, meaning they'll pay a bit more each month. The fee increase is effective immediately, so users should be ready for the new cost on their next bill.
Analyzed Economic Effects
3 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.
10 Gb Port Fee Raised $1,000/Month
If you use a 10 Gb physical port to connect to Cboe EDGX, the monthly fee increases from $7,500 to $8,500 per port, an extra $1,000 per month starting immediately (filing dated May 9, 2025). This higher monthly charge will appear on users' next bills.
One Fee Covers Multiple Affiliate Access
A single monthly fee (the $8,500 10 Gb fee) will apply per 10 Gb physical port even if that port is used to access multiple Cboe affiliated exchanges. You will not be charged separate monthly port fees by the Exchange for accessing more than one affiliate through the same physical port.
1 Gb Port Price Remains $2,500
The Exchange will continue to charge $2,500 per month for a 1 Gb physical port and that fee is not changing as part of this filing. Firms with modest capacity needs can continue to buy the 1 Gb port instead of a 10 Gb port.
