Live‑Scan Electronic Fingerprinting Option

Starting with the filing on May 22, 2025, BOX Exchange may use Live-Scan electronic fingerprinting in addition to traditional fingerprint cards. If you are a BOX or Exchange employee (including temporary employees who have or are anticipated to have access for at least ten (10) days), an independent contractor, or another service provider with access to BOX/Exchange facilities, records, systems, data, or other information that places security at risk, your fingerprints can be captured electronically and transmitted directly to the FBI for identification processing.

No Added Burden on Market Participants

The Exchange states the procedural change to permit Live-Scan fingerprinting would enhance security without adding any burden on market participants. The Exchange filed the change on May 22, 2025 and it became effective upon filing.

Use of FBI‑Approved Channel Partner

The Exchange may retain an FBI‑approved Channel Partner to capture and transmit fingerprints to the FBI, receive criminal history information from the FBI, and securely provide that information to approved Exchange reviewing officials. The Exchange will retain ultimate legal responsibility for meeting its statutory and self‑regulatory obligations.
