$360M Plan to Restore Louisiana Coasts

A Draft Restoration Plan would spend about $360,000,000 to restore Louisiana wetlands, coastal and nearshore habitats, sea turtles, birds, and related resources. The Trustee Implementation Groups propose to allocate about $247,000,000 in Deepwater Horizon natural resource damage assessment (NRDA) funds to their preferred projects, and the State of Louisiana is seeking additional funding sources. The TIGs have released the Draft RP/EA and are inviting public comment on the plan.
