Flood Map Changes Affect Insurance
Some communities have updated flood risk data (base flood elevations, flood depths, SFHA boundaries, zone designations, or regulatory floodways) that are now shown on revised Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) and Flood Insurance Study (FIS) reports. If you live in or own property in those communities, your flood insurance rules and costs might change as a result of these map changes.
Revised Maps Apply to New Policies
FEMA issued Letters of Map Revision (LOMR) and revised FIRMs/FIS portions for the listed communities, and the current effective community number shown in the notice must be used for all new flood insurance policies and renewals. If you are buying or renewing flood insurance for properties in those communities, use the updated community number when obtaining coverage.
