Published Date: 7/18/2025

Notice

Summary

Cboe EDGA Exchange is updating its fee schedule to add charges for Dedicated Cores, a special service for traders who want faster, dedicated access. This change affects traders using these Dedicated Cores and takes effect immediately, meaning they’ll see new fees starting now. It’s all about keeping the trading game fair and clear with fresh pricing rules.

Analyzed Economic Effects

6 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 4 costs, 0 mixed.

Tiered monthly fees for extra cores

If you (as an exchange User) buy more than two Dedicated Cores, you will pay monthly fees that increase by tier: $650 per core for cores 3–10, $850 per core for cores 11–15, and $1,050 per core for 16 or more. The Exchange gives an example that 11 Dedicated Cores would cost $6,050 per month.

Two Dedicated Cores provided free

All Users who wish to use Dedicated Cores will be provided up to two Dedicated Cores at no additional cost. Users can still use shared CPU cores if they do not want Dedicated Cores.

Port fees still apply to free cores

The Exchange's existing port fees of $550 per port per month will continue to apply to BOE logical ports and will also be assessed on the first two Dedicated Cores that Users receive at no additional cost. The Exchange's standard $550 per port monthly fee remains unchanged.

Member cap raised to 120 Dedicated Cores

The Exchange increased the maximum number of Dedicated Cores available to Members to 120 Dedicated Cores, effective December 1, 2024. Sponsoring Members remain limited to a maximum of 35 Dedicated Cores for each Sponsored Access relationship.

Rule change effective immediately upon filing

The Exchange filed the rule change on July 7, 2025 and the rule change became effective upon filing. The SEC may temporarily suspend the change within 60 days of the filing if it determines such action is necessary.

Monthly fees are not prorated

The Exchange will assess monthly Dedicated Core fees in their entirety and will not prorate those monthly fees. That means if you are charged for a month, the full monthly fee applies for that month rather than a partial amount.
