License surrender and equipment removal

The applicant proposes to surrender the license for the 1.06 MW Hollow Dam Hydroelectric Project (Project No. P-6972-035). As part of decommissioning, the applicant proposes to remove all electrical equipment from the control room and de-energize the switchyard, remove the generator-turbine unit, and remove the trashracks; the dam, fencing, portage, takeout facilities, parking area, and boat barrier will be left in place, signs will be repainted, no ground-disturbance or dam/control-room modifications are proposed, and flow will continue to be spilled over the dam or through the bypass gate.

Anyone may file comments, protests, or motions to intervene in the surrender proceeding; filings must be received on or before August 20, 2025. The Commission encourages electronic filing via its eFiling system or short eComment submissions (up to 6,000 characters); paper filings are also accepted by mail or carrier to the addresses listed in the notice.
