Published Date: 8/4/2025

Notice

Summary

Cboe EDGX Exchange is raising the monthly fee for its 10 Gb physical ports, which traders and firms use to connect to the exchange faster. This change means users will pay more starting immediately after the filing on July 17, 2025. If you rely on these high-speed connections, get ready for a higher bill each month!

Analyzed Economic Effects

3 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.

10 Gb Port Monthly Fee Rises $1,000

If your firm or trading operation pays for a 10 Gb physical port to connect to Cboe EDGX, the monthly fee increases from $7,500 to $8,500 per port. The change takes effect immediately after the filing on July 17, 2025, so you will pay $1,000 more per month for each 10 Gb port you use.

Single Port Covers Multiple Affiliate Exchanges

A single 10 Gb physical port purchased from EDGX can be used to access EDGX and its Affiliate Exchanges (Cboe BZX, Cboe BYX, Cboe EDGA, and Cboe C2) and only one monthly fee applies per 10 Gb port no matter how many affiliates you access. This means you will not be charged a separate monthly port fee by EDGX for connecting to each affiliate through that same physical port.

1 Gb Port Fee Remains $2,500

Cboe EDGX will continue to charge $2,500 per month for each 1 gigabit physical port and that fee is not changing with this filing. Market participants with modest capacity needs can keep using 1 Gb ports at that price instead of moving to the higher-cost 10 Gb port.
