Flood Map Updates Change Insurance Rules
FEMA updated Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) and, where applicable, Flood Insurance Study (FIS) reports for certain communities to add or change Base Flood Elevations, base flood depths, Special Flood Hazard Area boundaries or zone designations, or the regulatory floodway. If you live in or own property in one of the listed communities, your flood insurance rules and possibly your premiums may change, so check the new maps and community listings. The current effective community number shown in FEMA's table must be used for all new flood insurance policies and renewals.
