Analyzed Economic Effects

2 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 0 costs, 2 mixed.

Communities must adopt flood rules to stay in NFIP

Your community listed in the notice must adopt, or show evidence of having adopted, the floodplain management measures based on the new FIRMs and FIS in order to qualify or remain qualified for participation in FEMA's National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). If the community does not meet those requirements, its participation in the NFIP could be at risk.

Final flood map changes for properties

If you live in or own property in the listed communities, FEMA finalized flood hazard determinations that change Base Flood Elevations, base flood depths, Special Flood Hazard Area boundaries, zone designations, or regulatory floodways on Flood Insurance Rate Maps and supporting Flood Insurance Study reports. These map changes could affect your flood insurance requirements and the building rules that apply to your property.
