China chipmakers lose export green‑light
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) amended the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to remove Intel Semiconductor (Dalian) Ltd; Samsung China Semiconductor Co. Ltd; and SK hynix Semiconductor (China) Ltd from the Validated End‑User (VEU) Authorizations list for the People’s Republic of China. This means those three companies no longer have the special pre‑approval status under the EAR. If you work with or export tech to these companies, expect changes that could affect how and when products move and possibly affect costs and timing.
