Hardware Procurement Via Exchange Adds 10% Fee

If you use the Exchange's colocation halls at the Mahwah Data Center and choose FIDS' hardware procurement service, FIDS will buy, format, and deliver hardware for you and pass through the Procurement Specialist's fees plus a 10% service fee payable to FIDS. Procurement quotes may include options such as outright purchase, a 12-month lease, or a 24-month lease, and you review terms before contracting.

Managed Services Offered With 10% Service Fee

If you use the Mahwah Data Center colocation and opt for FIDS' managed services option, FIDS will contract with a Managed Services Specialist on your behalf and pass through that provider's fees plus a 10% service fee payable to FIDS. The managed services include monitoring, troubleshooting, configuration support, and around-the-clock remediation for your hardware in the data center.

Services Voluntary and Non-Discriminatory

The new hardware procurement and managed services are voluntary and will be available to any potential User on a non-discriminatory basis; you are not required to use them and may instead contract directly with third-party vendors. The Exchange currently plans to work with one specific Procurement Specialist and one specific Managed Services Specialist but says Users can continue to obtain services from numerous third parties without interference.
