Eminent Domain Risk for Landowners
If you own land in Mississippi near the Kosciusko Compressor Station, the pipeline company may seek an easement to construct and operate the project. If the Commission approves the project, the Natural Gas Act gives the company the right to initiate condemnation (eminent domain) proceedings in court, and any compensation would be determined by a judge under state law.

The project would use about 4.0 acres of temporary workspace during construction, and that temporary workspace would be restored and revert to former uses after construction. Also, operation of the project would not require new land outside the existing compressor station fenceline.
