Deadline to Challenge Texas Highway Approvals

If you want to sue to challenge these Texas highway project approvals, your case must be filed by May 22, 2026, or you lose the right to challenge them. If a different federal law gives a shorter filing period (less than 150 days), that shorter deadline still controls.

Ten Texas Road Projects Approved

TxDOT and Federal agencies issued final approvals for ten highway projects in Texas, allowing work such as widening roads, building overpasses, adding frontage roads, sidewalks, and shared-use paths. Projects include: Cordova Road (widen to 4 lanes, 3.45 miles), Trenton Road (convert to 4-lane, ~3.4 miles with a 66-foot width), SH 185 overpass (~0.92 mile), SH 75 widening (4.9 miles), IH 20 westbound frontage road (1.362 miles), Vallecillo Road new alignment (2.85 miles), FM 529 widening (~12 miles), FM 755 rehab (7.949 miles), Barbarosa Road/Saur Lane upgrades, and the I-30 corridor widening (~5 miles).
