It’s all about keeping the tech running smoothly and fairly priced for everyone.
Analyzed Economic Effects
3 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.
10 Gb Port Monthly Fee Rises to $8,000
If you connect to Cboe using a 10 gigabit per second (10 Gb) physical port, the monthly fee increases from $7,000 to $8,000. The new $8,000 monthly rate takes effect on January 2, 2026 and applies to Trading Permit Holders (TPHs) and non-TPHs that purchase a 10 Gb physical port.
No Installation Fee for Cboe 10 Gb Port
Cboe does not charge an installation fee for its 10 Gb physical port connection, unlike a competitor (PHLX) that charges a $1,650 or $1,000 installation fee for similar 10 Gb connections. That means users pay no upfront installation charge with Cboe for the 10 Gb port.
1 Gb Port Pricing Remains Unchanged
Cboe kept the price for its 1 gigabit per second (1 Gb) physical port unchanged and it remains a less expensive way to connect. Market participants with modest capacity needs can continue to buy the 1 Gb port or use a third-party re-seller instead of the 10 Gb option.
