500‑Foot Safety Zone on Lake
On December 31, 2025, from 8:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., all navigable waters within a 500‑foot radius of 38°12'11.1" N, 92°37'59.4" W at Mile Marker 0.2 on the Lake of the Ozarks are a safety zone. Boats and people may not enter that zone during that time unless the Captain of the Port or their designated representative authorizes entry.
How to Request Entry Permission
If you need to enter the safety zone during the enforcement period, you must obtain permission from the Captain of the Port or the COTP's designated representative. The rule states you may seek permission on VHF‑FM channel 16 or by telephone at 1‑866‑360‑3386.
