Paperwork Required to Transfer Fishing Licenses

If you transfer an Alaska License Limitation Program (LLP) license for groundfish, crab, or scallops, you must submit the required transfer application forms under OMB Control Number 0648-0334. The collection estimates 115 respondents, with transfer applications taking 1 hour each, transfer appeals taking 4 hours, a total annual burden of 61 hours, and estimated annual operating costs to the public of $1,075. Respondents are required to provide this information to obtain or retain LLP licensing benefits.

Forms Now Acceptable by Email

All LLP transfer and appeal forms can now be submitted electronically via email as fillable PDFs from the NMFS Alaska Region website. You can still print, fax, or deliver the forms, but the notice explicitly says that electronic submission by email is now available and that there are no other changes to the collection.
