You’ve got until January 30, 2026, to share your thoughts—no extra costs or big changes, just keeping fairness front and center!

Analyzed Economic Effects

4 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 2 costs, 1 mixed.

Must Notify, Self-evaluate, and Keep Records

Recipients must notify participants, beneficiaries, applicants, and employees of nondiscrimination practices and must keep records of Federal financial assistance and self-evaluations performed under 10 CFR 4.231 throughout the duration of the obligation.

NRC-funded Recipients Must Comply

If you receive Federal financial assistance from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (including educational institutions, other nonprofit organizations, and Agreement States), you are a required respondent under 10 CFR part 4 and must provide assurances of compliance. The collection is OMB control number 3150-0053; the NRC estimates 200 respondents, 502 annual responses, and 802 hours annually for the collection.

File NRC Form 781 for Program Actions

If you initiate or modify an NRC-funded program, you must submit NRC Form 781 ("SBCR Compliance Review Part A") during pre-award and post-award stages, for periodic monitoring, and when a complaint is being processed.

You Can File Discrimination Complaints (Form 782)

If you believe you or a specific class were subjected to discrimination prohibited by 10 CFR part 4 (race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age), you may submit NRC Form 782 ("Complaint Form") to report the allegation. Form 782 is submitted on occasion when a complaint arises.
