The project description includes about 9.8 miles of new light rail, 15 new stations, an operations and maintenance facility, one maintenance of way shop, and three park-and-ride facilities.

175 Park Avenue Project Approvals

The FTA completed final environmental actions for the 175 Park Avenue Project, including a Section 106 No Adverse Effect determination and a Section 4(f) no use determination dated October 16, 2025, and a Finding of No Significant Impact dated January 9, 2026. The project would redevelop 175 Park Avenue with a new mixed-use office and hotel building, retail, public space, and transit and public concourse improvements adjacent to Grand Central Terminal.

Deadline to Challenge FTA Actions
