Widening and Bridge Replacement Project
Caltrans and FHWA approved a project to reconstruct and widen The Old Road (from Henry Mayo Drive to Magic Mountain Parkway), replace two bridges, reconstruct and widen Rye Canyon Road (from Old Road to Avenue Stanford), and reconstruct and widen Sky View Lane, plus extend a multi-use trail northwest of the I-5 ramps. The Environmental Assessment with Finding of No Significant Impact was approved on July 8, 2025.
Relocation and Property Acquisition Rules Apply
The project actions are subject to the Federal Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970 (the Uniform Act) and 49 CFR Part 24. If property is acquired or relocations occur for this project, federal relocation and acquisition rules will apply.
Deadline To Challenge Project Decisions
If you want to file a legal challenge to the Federal Agency actions on this highway project, your claim must be filed on or before June 29, 2026. If a federal law gives a shorter filing period (less than 150 days), that shorter deadline still applies.
