5% Fee on Ancillary Revenues
If your DTV station earns gross revenues from ancillary or supplementary services, you must remit a payment equal to five percent (5%) of those gross revenues to the FCC at the time you submit FCC Form 2100, Schedule G (via FCC Form 159).
Annual DTV Ancillary Reporting
If you are a licensee or permittee of a digital TV station (including full-power, LPTV, translator, or Class A stations), you must file FCC Form 2100, Schedule G each year reporting any feeable ancillary or supplementary services, including a brief description, gross revenues from those services, and the amount of bitstream used.
Record Retention Requirements
DTV licensees/permittees must keep records supporting fee calculations for three years from the date of fee remittance. Noncommercial educational (NCE) licensees/permittees must retain documentation for eight years showing that their entire bitstream was used "primarily" for NCE broadcast services on a weekly basis.
