New pipeline and compressor expansion

Texas Eastern proposes a Line 31 Expansion in Madison County, Mississippi that includes 10.2 miles of new 36-inch loop, a new 1.6-mile 16-inch delivery lateral to Entergy's proposed Traceview Power Station, two sets of pig launcher/receivers, and a new Ridgeland Compressor Station with three 1,500 horsepower compressor units. The company says the Project will provide up to an additional 125,000 dekatherms per day (Dth/d) of firm incremental natural gas transportation capacity and estimates the total cost at $131,000,000.

Environmental review and authorization timing

Pursuant to Commission rules, within 90 days of this Notice staff will either complete the environmental review and place it in the public record or issue a Notice of Schedule for Environmental Review; if a Notice of Schedule is issued, it will show the anticipated date for the final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) or Environmental Assessment (EA). The filing of an EA or issuance of a Notice of Schedule will notify agencies of the timing and the need to complete all federal authorizations within 90 days of the Commission staff's FEIS or EA issuance.

Public participation deadline and rights

The Commission set a motion-to-intervene deadline of 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on February 27, 2026. Any person may file comments, protests, or a motion to intervene at no fee; filing a comment alone does not make you a party, and only intervenors have the right to request rehearing and to challenge Commission orders in the U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal.
