Assessment May Lead To Fishing Rule Changes

The SEDAR 90 multi-step assessment process develops and reviews information used for fisheries management advice and may lead to decisions about changes to fishing limits or protections for South Atlantic Red Snapper. Those management decisions would follow publication of the final stock assessment report produced by the SEDAR process.

Public Webinar to Review Snapper Data

There will be a public webinar on March 20, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. EDT for the SEDAR 90 assessment of South Atlantic Red Snapper. The webinar is open to the public and will review assessment recommendations and modeling topics.

Accessibility: Sign Language and Aids Available

The meetings are physically accessible to people with disabilities, and requests for sign language interpretation or other auxiliary aids should be sent to the Council office at least 5 business days prior to each workshop. This allows people with disabilities to participate in the SEDAR workshops and webinars.
