Puerto Rico PAN Check for Lifeline/ACP
Starting March 27, 2026, the FCC and USAC will run a computer matching program with the Puerto Rico Department of the Family for 18 months to check whether Lifeline and Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) applicants and subscribers receive PAN benefits. The match is used to verify eligibility for Lifeline and ACP so the programs only go to qualifying, low-income consumers.
Personal Data Will Be Shared for Verification
The National Verifier will send the last four digits of your Social Security Number, date of birth, and first and last name to the Puerto Rico Department of the Family, which will reply yes or no about PAN enrollment. This means those personal data elements will be used to determine if someone qualifies for Lifeline or ACP.
Children Can Qualify Parents for Benefits
The matching program includes minors whose status qualifies a parent or guardian for Lifeline or ACP; that means information about children may be used to verify a parent's eligibility. If you have dependents under 18, your household may be part of the verification checks for program eligibility.
