Regulations Simplified; No New Burdens

Board Size and Alternates Clarified
The Secretary of Commerce will appoint between 15 and 25 members to the Concrete Masonry Product Board and may appoint alternate members 'as deemed appropriate'; alternates may participate in meetings but do not vote. If a voting member vacates their appointment, the Secretary will appoint an alternate to fill the unexpired term. These rules are effective February 27, 2026.
Company Representation Limit Enforced
A maximum of two individuals from any single company or its affiliates may serve on the Board at the same time; current members will not necessarily be replaced with another representative of the same company. This change is effective February 27, 2026.
Disqualification and Removal Rules Updated
If a Board member (or alternate) who was appointed as a manufacturer 'ceases to qualify as a manufacturer,' that person shall be disqualified from serving. All members serve at the pleasure of the Secretary, and the Board may recommend to the Secretary that a member be removed. These rules are effective February 27, 2026.
