Fed Discusses Big Bank Capital Rules
The Federal Reserve will hold an open meeting at 10 a.m. on March 19, 2026 to discuss proposals to revise the capital rule for the largest, most internationally active banking organizations and for other banking organizations subject to the capital rule. The Board will also consider making adjustments to the surcharge for U.S. global systemically important banking organizations (GSIBs). These proposals could affect large banking organizations and how much capital those banks are required to hold.
