Analyzed Economic Effects

3 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.

Big cut in application paperwork time

If you are a Tribal Lead Agency applying to use Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) money to build or renovate child care facilities, the agency rewrote the application so it is shorter and clearer. The new Program Instruction is 19 pages shorter with 5 fewer requirements, cutting estimated burden per response from about 20 hours to 6 hours and reducing total annual burden to 120 hours.

You must get ACF approval first

Tribal Lead Agencies, including those that consolidated programs under Public Law 102-477, must request and receive approval from the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) before using CCDF funds for construction or major renovation of child care facilities. The rule restates that approval is required under 42 U.S.C. 9858m(c)(6).
