Liquidation Event Reporting Increases

If you are a Ginnie Mae issuer, Appendix VI-24 will require reporting each time a loan liquidation occurs instead of monthly. The notice estimates VI-24 will have 7,774 responses per year (300 respondents), totaling 46,644 annual hours and an annual cost of $2,125,101.

Estimated Total Annual Burden and Cost

HUD estimates the entire collection will result in 2,544,133 total responses, 87,200.43 total annual hours, and an annual cost of $3,972,852 across all forms and issuers.

More Financial Data Required from Issuers

Appendix VI-20 will be changed to request more detailed and recent financial data so Ginnie Mae can better assess issuer financial health. The notice estimates the Audit VI-20 electronic schedules submission at 368 responses per year, 1.5 hours per response, totaling 552 hours and $25,149 annually.

New Disaster Assistance Request Forms

HUD is adding Appendix XI-01, XI-01A, and XI-01B so issuers can request pass-through assistance after a declared natural disaster or an extreme event (pandemic). For example, XI-01 is estimated at 300 responses per year totaling 24 hours and $1,093 in annual cost.

Pool Numbers Have No Fee

There is no fee for requesting Ginnie Mae pool numbers. Pool numbers are alpha-numeric, have no expiration date, and each pool number can be used only once.
