Repatriation to Local Tribes May 18, 2026
San Diego State University found that human remains representing three Native American individuals and 80 lots of associated funerary objects are culturally affiliated with named local tribes. Starting May 18, 2026, those tribes (and any lineal descendant or other tribe that proves cultural affiliation) may request repatriation of the items listed in this notice.
