Performance Measures Cut from 24 to 15

HRSA is changing the reporting form for the Rural Health Network Development Planning Program by reducing performance measures from 24 down to 15. The collections will remove the Network Infrastructure, Network Collaboration, and Network Assessment sections and instead use two sections: Capacity/Organizational Information (10 measures) and Sustainability (5 measures).

Reporting Time Burden Increases to 281.25 Hours

HRSA estimates the total annual burden for this information collection is 281.25 hours across 25 respondents, which is about 11.25 hours per respondent. HRSA says the estimated burden increased to account for new one-year awardees and the extra time needed to coordinate and collect data from network partners.

Data Used to Guide Technical Assistance and Decisions

HRSA will use the collected data to support program compliance, inform rural needs, guide delivery of technical assistance, and shape federal program decisions. The measures are intended to evaluate progress toward the Network Planning Program goals under the Government Performance and Results Act of 1993.
