Published Date: 4/23/2026

Notice

Summary

The EPA just updated its list of federal sites that handle or have released hazardous waste. This update adds two new federal facilities to the watchlist but doesn’t remove or change any others. Federal agencies managing these sites should stay alert, as this helps keep hazardous waste in check and protects communities—no big cost changes, just better tracking as of April 1, 2026.

Moss Courthouse at 350 South Main Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. Under CERCLA section 120(d), EPA must assure a Preliminary Assessment (PA) is completed for sites on the Docket within a reasonable timeframe. This update is current as of April 1, 2026.
