Grants fund on‑campus child care

Colleges can get grants to provide campus child care that supports low-income parents in postsecondary education. The program awards up to $500,000 per year (or $100 times the institution’s FY2025 Pell Grant recipient count, whichever is greater) for each of 4 years to funded institutions.

Which colleges are eligible to apply

Only institutions of higher education that awarded at least $250,000 in Federal Pell Grants during FY2025 are eligible to apply for CCAMPIS grants. Interested institutions must submit complete proposals through Grants.gov by May 29, 2026.

Program priorities include sliding fees

The FY2026 competition includes priorities to make child care more affordable by using a sliding fee scale for low-income parents, to leverage non-Federal resources, and to expand early learning choices. If funded, colleges are expected to implement these priorities in their campus child care programs.
