IBIT Options Limits Quadrupled

If you trade options on the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), the SEC approved increasing position and exercise limits from 250,000 contracts to 1,000,000 contracts on the same side of the market. The Commission approved this change on April 27, 2026, so traders can hold much larger IBIT option positions under the new limits.

No Change to FLEX IBIT Proposal

Amendment No. 5 removed the Exchange's proposed changes related to position and exercise limits for Flexible Exchange (FLEX) IBIT options, so the proposal will not change FLEX IBIT option limits. The proposal as approved does not modify FLEX IBIT limits.
