If you want a NOAA wage mariner job, you must apply through the Wage Mariner Hiring Portal (an online website). The portal collects your name, contact info, wage mariner licenses and certifications, relevant work history, and education, and providing this information is required to obtain or retain consideration for hire.

Estimated time burden to apply

NOAA estimates each applicant will spend 60 minutes filling out the online profile: 5 minutes for name/contact, 5 minutes for license information, 40 minutes for certifications and work history, and 10 minutes for education. NOAA estimates 1,000 respondents annually for a total of 6,000 burden hours and reports the estimated total annual cost to the public is $0.
