SSA–CMS Sharing Nursing Home Data

If you are an applicant or recipient of Supplemental Security Income (SSI), SSA will receive nursing care facility admission and discharge information from CMS. That data sharing is intended to help SSA administer SSI and may be used under the statute cited (including 42 U.S.C. 1382(e)(1)(B)); the matching program becomes applicable per the notice language and runs for 18 months.

Identify Special Veterans' Benefits Recipients

If you receive Special Veterans' Benefits (SVB), SSA will receive CMS nursing facility admission and discharge information to identify SVB beneficiaries who are no longer residing outside the United States. The program is subject to the matching agreement and will operate for an 18-month period as described in the notice.
