Annual Probation & Parole Survey Burden
State departments of corrections, and city and county courts and probation offices must complete the Annual Surveys of Probation and Parole using forms CJ-7, CJ-8, and CJ-8M. About 829 agencies are expected to respond; BJS estimates per-respondent completion times of 140 minutes (CJ-7), 165 minutes (CJ-8), and 30 minutes (CJ-8M), with a total annual burden of about 1,025 hours and a total annual cost burden of $559,000, and DOJ requests OMB clearance for three years.
