4 provisions identified: 3 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.

Faster, more reliable bus service

If you ride buses along State Route 190 in Salt Lake County (MP 0.00–17.00), the project adds a dedicated bus priority lane on Brighton Loop Road, a new transitway for buses to bypass congestion, and improved bus stop facilities to make bus travel faster and more reliable. The Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for this work was approved May 8, 2026.

New congestion-based tolling system

The project includes a congestion-based tolling system on SR-190 and related facilities, which means drivers using the corridor could pay tolls that vary with traffic. The notice does not list toll prices, but the system is an explicit part of the proposed action.

Large park-and-ride hub with 1,750 spaces

The project will build a mobility hub parking facility on the east side of Wasatch Boulevard with approximately 1,750 public parking spaces to support transit access at the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon. This increases park-and-ride capacity for commuters who drive to the hub and then use transit.

New Wasatch Boulevard interchange improves access

The project includes a new grade-separated interchange on Wasatch Boulevard to facilitate mobility hub access and improve transit efficiency at the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon. The improvements are part of the actions described in the Environmental Assessment and FONSI.
