MU-2B Pilots Must Document Training

If you are an active Mitsubishi MU-2B pilot, you must document participation in and completion of the MU-2B pilot training program under subpart N of 14 CFR part 91. The FAA says this affects about 210 active MU-2 pilots, the pilot documentation action (logbook endorsement and training course final phase check) is done every year and takes about 10 minutes per response, with an estimated total annual burden of 35 hours for all pilots.

Part 91 Training Providers' Submission Burden

If you are a part 91 MU-2B training provider, you must submit your training program as part of this information collection. The FAA estimates about 11 training providers are affected, each submission of a training program takes about 4 hours, and the providers' estimated total annual burden is 22 hours.

FAA Says Renewal Will Not Add Costs

The FAA states its goal is to renew this information collection to keep flying safer without adding extra hassle or costs. The notice invites public comment and seeks OMB approval to renew the collection (OMB Control Number 2120-0725).
