Bill Overview
Analyzed Economic Effects
2 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.
CTE choices upfront on FAFSA and student aid site
If enacted, Federal Student Aid would post CTE program facts on its student aid website within 60 days. It would include average completion time, program cost, and job outcomes. It would list CTE options and Perkins funding in each State, and keep this current. The FAFSA would open with a CTE notice, a one-page CTE summary, and an acknowledgment box. The bill would use Perkins Act definitions for “career and technical education” and “State.”
No new funds to run this bill
This bill would bar any new money to carry it out. Agencies would need to use existing funds for the website and FAFSA changes. That could limit outreach or upkeep if budgets are tight.
