New FDA office with Abraham Accords partners
The bill would create an Abraham Accords Office inside the FDA, led by a director. Within 2 years of enactment, HHS would pick a site in an Abraham Accords country and open the office after consulting U.S. and partner officials. The office would share FDA pathway information and help partners give feedback on research, development, and manufacturing. It would provide technical help to align rules, including good manufacturing practices. Actions could be delayed or skipped for national security reasons, and an Abraham Accords country would mean one the State Department says signed the declaration.
