Veterans SPORT Act
Sponsored By: Representative Rep. Miller-Meeks, Mariannette [R-IA-1]
In Committee
Summary
Expands VA coverage to include adaptive prostheses and sports and recreational terminal devices. The Veterans SPORT Act would amend 38 U.S.C. 1701 to insert the parenthetical phrase "(including adaptive prostheses and terminal devices for sports and other recreational activities)" immediately after "artificial limbs." That change would let eligible veterans obtain prosthetic devices designed for sports and other recreational activities through Department of Veterans Affairs medical services.

More VA help for sports prosthetics
If enacted, VA medical services would include adaptive prosthetic limbs and devices for sports and recreation. If you are an eligible veteran, you could get these devices through the VA. This could lower your out-of-pocket costs for specialized sports prosthetics. The change would take effect upon enactment.
