VA land transfer for Dayton cemetery
If enacted, the Montgomery County Land Bank (130 W. Second Street, Suite 1425, Dayton, OH 45402) would offer a specific parcel for transfer to the Department of Veterans Affairs. The VA Secretary would have 30 days from that offer to start an agreement to carry out the transfer. Under the agreement, the Land Bank would convey all right, title, and interest in about 58 acres to VA at no cost. The VA would accept the land for use as a national cemetery no later than three years after the offer. The parcel is across from Dayton National Cemetery and is shown on the January 26, 2024 map titled "Dayton National Cemetery Proposed Land Transfer" and labeled "Expansion Area."
