Border Operations Service Medal Act

Summary
A new Border Operations Service Medal would recognize military members who served in designated U.S.–Mexico border operations starting January 1, 2025. The Secretary of Defense would design and issue the medal in consultation with the heads of the military services. Its wear would be authorized under military uniform rules. Active-duty members and National Guard and Reserve personnel who served in those operations would be eligible. The bill would require the Secretary to issue regulations to implement the medal within 60 days after enactment.
