Bill Overview
Analyzed Economic Effects
2 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 0 costs, 2 mixed.
D.C. control over zoning appointments
If enacted, D.C. would change who picks Zoning Commission members. Federal officials and the Mayor would not appoint members. Members would be appointed by the D.C. government. This could shift perspectives in zoning decisions, not taxes or benefits.
Federal members on embassy zoning cases
If enacted, for embassy chancery cases, the Board of Zoning Adjustment would seat a federal official. The President would choose which listed official serves, and that official could name an alternate. The National Capital Planning Commission would be represented by its Executive Director. It changes who is at the table, not general zoning rules.
