Clearer standards for demining and stockpile safety

If enacted, the bill would update how the Department of Defense defines two kinds of aid abroad. Demining help would follow international mine action standards and cover training, equipment, infrastructure, and explosive safety. It would include finding and clearing landmines and other unexploded weapons and building national rules and procedures. Stockpile safety help would follow international ammunition guidelines for disposal, demilitarization, security, and lifecycle management. This would mainly affect partner governments, demining groups, and nearby civilians, with no direct changes for most U.S. households.
