Faster nuclear export deals for U.S. firms
If enacted, the State Department would run a program to help U.S. nuclear suppliers, investors, and lenders win projects abroad. It would aim for at least 20 new "123" cooperation deals by January 3, 2029, and would seek to renew those that expire within 10 years after enactment. The program would speed government‑to‑government agreements, promote wider use of an international nuclear accident compensation treaty, cut export red tape, and encourage countries to choose U.S. nuclear technology and fuel. State would consult Commerce and Energy, with White House science and economic review.
