Whistleblower protections for HUD-funded workers

If enacted, workers and contractors on HUD-funded projects would get federal whistleblower protections. This would cover contracts, subcontracts, grants, subgrants, and personal services contracts. It would apply to both new and existing HUD-funded agreements, no matter when they were signed. Protections would start upon enactment and follow the current federal complaint process under 41 U.S.C. § 4712. It would not add new enforcement tools beyond the existing federal rules.
