Summary
Expands Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) school access to dependents of activated Reserve component members. This bill would let a dependent of a reserve component member who is ordered to active service for an accompanied permanent change of station enroll at the DoDEA school at the member's permanent station when space is available, with automatic enrollment at the member's request and placement on a wait-list if the school is full.

On-base school access for reserve families
If enacted, some reserve families could enroll their children in the on-base Department of Defense school. It would apply when the reserve member is on active service and has an accompanied PCS (base move) order. The child would attend the school at the member's permanent station. At the member’s request, the child would be enrolled if the school has space. If the school is full, the child would go on a wait-list.
